How to choose your belt?

Here is what you need to look out for before buying yourself a belt

If you are unsure of what kind of belt to buy, get one that is versatile and will go with all your clothes – a simple leather strap, either black or dark brown, with a buckle.

Unless you are very sure that your waist line is going to get larger in the near future, buy a belt that fits.

Try the belt on over your pants or through the loops if you can, the way you would normally wear it – shirt tucked in, if need be. A good belt fits in the middle hole.

Very few men get away without pulling their pants up at least few times a ay. Remember, you belt should feel tight enough to keep your pants up, but not so tight that it feels like a corset.

A new leather belt is generally pretty stiff and will feel uncomfortable for a day or so as it breaks in. don’t give up on it – give it time to soften and conform to your waist.

Wear a belt with shorts that have loops, but in general you shouldn’t tuck your shirt in. Guys who tuck their shirts into shorts are thought to look geeky. If that’s your style, though, go ahead and pull it off.

Trendy studded printed belts are okay, but look sot of foolish except with the right clothes. Don’t buy one and wear it all the time.

A tight belt on a tight pair of pants adds up to discomfort. Buy pants that fit or are a little loose in waist, and then cinch up a belt on them.

And don’t wear a belt with suspenders, unless you are tying to look goofy.
